Today's Topic, Speak No Evil.
The Bible did tells us to be careful of what we See, Speak And Hear, Especially what we Speak.
I've discovered i really change quite a bit, ever since i have became a Deputy, Its a good change though, i've become really concern of my sheep's growth, what they feel, and how are they doing lately, usually i dont even bother to talk to them before im a deputy, i've wanting to post this up for quite sometime, but due the laziness of my fingers, i closed by blog.. but since i've now decided to reopen it back, i shall update as much as i can =)
The Tongue is very dangerous, dont you think so? it doesnt hurt a person physically, but emotionally and mentally, its Dangerous, coz you cant see or know or feel what the person feel after you said something that might actually hurt them. So please, you and i must learn to control them
Saying "you're stupid", "you idiot" "You're Ugly" words like these can cause low-self esteem, I did hurt a few ppl before so i wanna say im Sorry, come to think of it, i was really mean, maybe now i still am, i dont know.
i've heard people said "Loser!", "aiya they very cha wan la" "aiyo! with them ah... sure win la~!" in front of my group members, and i was so afraid what my members will think, are they stumbled? and yet im so dissapointed to hear those words coming out from a Leader, Of course who am i to judge, i think i was once like that too, i dunno whether i've said that before, i really dont remember, but i think i have,
And in a game, i heard other group people scolding and shouting and screaming at each other, and when i look at MY own group, we're just taking it slow and enjoy the game, Victory is not the #1 Priority in My group, i'm so very proud of them =) Of course Competition is a competition, i do also wanna win and get #1, but i wont wanna put it my Priority. because winning how many matches doesnt mean you're undefeatable or great, because in the end, what matters most, is our Unity, and whether how many souls have we saved throughout the year. i can be great and successful, but if my group has things like Cliques and Fights, means we're not even a family, so its like a whole year of suffering together,
There are a few of my favorite groups, Group Onesimus, Group James, Group Gideon, i hope when my members think of their favorite groups, Group Timothy would be in their list as well. plus, i like small groups, its easy to communicate with members, of course if we can grow bigger i hope we do as well, it would be great! I;m not talking about only this year but throughout my whole experience in the Youth ministry.
I want to share one painful experience of mine, i was once a member, brought a friend to came know Christ, i was really happy, until we have some school trouble, which i got pulled in to the mess for dunno what reason, and i dont know how did my group commander and assistant got to know about it. it was something to do with gangsters wanting to bully us. so after that my mom knew and forbid me to be friends with that friend i have brought, i felt really bad not able to talk to her, and then i heard from somebody else, that my Deputy said to my friend "Aiya, nevermind la, Samantha dont choi you, we also dont choi her la." and when i heard that i was so sad, because, though im not close with her, but then i respected her. so leaders, be careful of what you say, and be a good influence to your members as well.
I might not be a Deputy who do great things, im bad at drawing and arts, im not really good in Evangelism, in fact, im not really good it a lot of stuff. but i am trying to do things in a way without comparing myself to other and previous deputies, i'm trying hard as well, we all are =)
So i hope all leaders and myself, can do a good job this year and the following to come =)
Fighting~!
